Substantiation of the design of the experimental unit of the rod grinder

The preparation of feed takes an important place in animal husbandry. Grinding grain in the total share of labor for the preparation of animal feed can take more than fifty percent. The effectiveness of the devices grinding grain should be evaluated by a combination of a number of indicators: the quality of the finished product, productivity and specific energy consumption of the grinder. For hammer sieve crushers, structural and technological parameters such as: number of hammers, rotor dimensions (diameter) at the ends of hammers, rotor speed, hole diameter of sieves, clearance between the ends of hammers and sieves, area and location of the feed hole, total area are of great importance holes of the sieve and its location, decklocation and area. A bulk product grinder has been developed, capable of destroying grain by cutting and chipping, which minimizes the energy consumption for grinding. The following features will have the greatest value on the efficiency of the core grinder: the shaft rotation speed and the diameter of the cutter at the ends of the teeth, the cutter pitch, the number and length of the longitudinal holes of the cylinder and knives, the angle of sharpening of knives, the angle of crushing of grain, the distance between the edge of the knife and teeth of the mill. A number of recommendations for the manufacture of an experimental setup are given: the design should have the maximum ease of assembly and readjustment of structural elements; the loading window communicates with the loading hopper, in which the gate must be installed for smooth adjustment of the amount of crushed material supplied to the cylinder; a cylindrical cutter is removable in order to enable its reversal or operational replacement; the knife mount has the abi-lity to quickly replace it, adjust the gap between the edge of the knife and the cutter teeth, as well as change its angle of inclination; the shaft rotation speed has the ability to vary within flexible limits in order to change the cutting speed depending on the tasks set in the experiment.
