Justification of separator parameters for purifying wheat seeds from long impurities

The wheat seeds in the farms of Buryatia are of a poor quality mainly due to presence of weed seeds such as duck wheat (Fagopyrum tataricum) or oat grass. When preparing wheat seeds, it is recommended to process them in a trier cylinder (cylindrical separator) with a certain size (8.5 mm) of cells. To explain characteristics of a separator the factorial test has been performed. By processing the experimental results, a statistical model of the process of cleaning seeds from oatmeal in a cylindrical separator (oat cylinder) was obtained. This model is represented in the form of the second-order regression equations that show changes in qualitative variables of the process of oat seed cleansing from seeds of oat grass in the tubular separator. Characteristics of a work tool (position of a front tray edge, the supply of material to the working surface) are explained by the analysis of regression equations and obtained two-dimensional sections of response surface of qualitative indicators of a process.
