Substantiation of the approaches to research the problem of formation of students' communicative competence

In the article an attempt to substantiate the approaches to research the problem of formation of communicative competence in the process of studying foreign languages in the sphere of professional education is represented. Integration of competent, cultural and contextual approaches as necessary and sufficient in formation of communicative competence of future specialists is proved. The definition of communicative competence is given, its structure is outlined. The main attention is paid to the teaching and studying of foreign languages in sphere of professional education (it has become one of the most impotent directions of professional education).
