Rationale for ensuring food security in Kyrgyzstan

This article provides a definition of the concept of "food security", provides an overview of the food security situation in Kyrgyzstan. One of the guarantors of ensuring food security is the production of such a quantity of food products by a country or region, sufficient for rational consumption. Food security is considered to be ensured if the basic types of food in the country are available both physically and economically. The main directions of ensuring food security have been established. It is concluded that the current state of food security in Kyrgyzstan is in crisis and requires a systematic rise, and it is also necessary to strengthen the role of the state, which should be aimed at providing direct and indirect support to agricultural producers.
