Digital image processing of the microstructure to identify its structural components

This article analyzes the use of methods of image segmentation to determine the microstructure of the alloy on the digital photographs obtained by electron microscopy. It is shown that optimal in this case can be combined methods and, in particular, a combination of methods "mean shift (mean shift)" and agglomerative clustering.
