In this paper, the application of a mathematical apparatus based on wavelet transforms is considered using the example of data processing from the Russian segment of the world network of magnetic observatories INTERMAGNET. Historically, the most famous mathematical apparatus used to process digital signals is the Fourier transform. But at the present time, it is often necessary to process non-stationary data. Hence the need arose for the development and implementation of a special mathematical apparatus. For example, the Hilbert transform, the Wigner-Villa transformation, the Walsh transform, the wavelet transform, and others. One of the main factors in the choice of wavelet transforms in this work is a good implementation of this mathematical apparatus in the MATLAB system. Analysis of non-stationary geomagnetic monitoring data obtained from the Russian segment of the world network of magnetic observatories INTERMAGNET is proposed to be carried out using a wavelet transform. The main result of this work is the conclusion about the possibility of analyzing non-stationary data, such as geomagnetic monitoring data from the Russian segment of the world network of magnetic observatories INTERMAGNET, by wavelet transform methods implemented in the MATLAB system. In addition, these methods can be applied to data that can be obtained and not from the Russian segment of INTERMAGNET.
