Consumer waste management in the Russian Federation: legal and organizational framework

The article identifies and characterizes the legal and organizational bases of consumer waste management in the Russian Federation. It is noted that in the Russian Federation, recycling is poorly developed, and therefore the practice of waste disposal is of particular importance. The conditions of burial are analyzed, the problem of unauthorized dumps is characterized. The role of the population in the actualization of the "garbage reform" and its support at the initial stage of the "garbage reform"is noted.
