The image of Altai in the visual arts of Russia (XIX- first third of XX century)

The article reveals and systematizes historical and art critical information about personalities, their artistic creativity on the Altai theme in the certain period; the author created the classification of the types of creative works, which allows to represent the most complete degree of the disclosure of the Altai theme in the visual arts.
