Image of bowl in a poetic creation of S.P. Shevyrev

The article examines the figurative representations of the human soul as the bowl of life. This image is revealed in close connection with the aesthetic position of Russian philosophical romanticism of the first third of the nineteenth century. Lyrics of Lovers of Wisdom have sought for not only new aesthetic principles, but also the genre forms for reflecting of process of self-identity. In this vein the allegorical Elegy "Two bowls" of SP Shevyrev reveals the figurative representations of the poet about the various forms of self-realization of man in this world. It also reflects the dynamics and dialectics of philosophical thought.
