The image of the head of Yakutsk: the opinion of the citizens

The article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in October 2021 in order to study the opinion of citizens about the head of Yakutsk. The main method of research was an online survey of residents on the platform Google Forms (n = 301). The attitude of citizens to the mayor is revealed on the basis of degree of awareness about him, the interest shown in his activities, as well as on the basis of an assessment of personal characteristics. The analysis of the activity of the head of the city from the standpoint of satisfaction of residents is presented, the level of trust in him among citizens is determined. In particular, the authors come to the conclusion that despite the fact that the population of Yakutsk has some formal knowledge about E. Grigoriev, interest in his activities is at a fairly low level, and the perception of the image of the politician by the citizens is predominantly negative, both from the standpoint of assessing personal qualities and regarding his activities as the head of the city. This can be explained both by the insufficient political experience of the present mayor and the unjustified expectations that the population formed under the influence of the previous head of the city of Yakutsk – Sardana Avksentieva.
