The image of the ideal political leader as viewed by students of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

The article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in October 2022 and aimed at analyzing students' perceptions of the image of the ideal political leader in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The main method of research was a questionnaire survey of the students of Yakutia carried out via Google Forms (n = 387). The study revealed the students' ideas about such concepts as “image of a political leader” and “political leader”. The external characteristics, leadership, professional business and moral ethical qualities of the ideal political leader were determined. Also, proceeding from such personal characteristics as gender, nationality, religion and age, a portrait of the politician whom the respondents would like to see in the future was compiled. In addition, based on the data of the survey, a list of politicians (regional, Russian and foreign), which most coincide with the students' ideas about the ideal political leader, was formed.
