Image of China in the cultural, historical and geopolitical concept of "easternism"

The article deals with the formation of the China image at the turn of XIX - XX centuries under the imperial ideology of "easternism". China was the main object of the Russian geopolitics. It was endowed with many positive traits. There was traced cultural and historical likeness between Russia and China, which made it possible to establish patronage over China peacefully.
