In traditional culture of many peoples of the world animistic ideas dominate. In this regard, the images of certain animals were important for understanding the culture as a whole. The study presented the analysis of the image of the deer in traditional culture of indigenous peoples of Eastern Siberia. This animal for the people of specified region had not only practical, but also cult value that in many respects influenced the formation of its image in Siberia. During the research on the materials of folklore and ethnographic sources the main aspects of a deer image were revealed: sacred victim, assistant, guardian, the symbol of wealth and rewards for the actions. The image of the stag was often used in interior decoration and clothing. Pendants with the image of the deer were often used by shamans in religious practice. Many indigenous Siberian people's toys for children (boys) had the form of a deer. Thanks to it children from early years got acquainted with features of the people's life...
