Image of the Orthodox priest in Russian people’s mythology according to Russian folk tales

This work contains the results of an analysis of the mythological views of the Russian people on the priesthood of the Russian Orthodox Church based on the materials of Russian folk tales. Based on the premise of the mythological nature of the human worldview, using a study of a wide range of Russian folk tales and an extensive selection of mythological statements, the author explicates myths that characterize the Russian Orthodox priesthood in fairy tales, determines ideological mythologemes, represents the repertoire and the ratio of the corresponding myths and mythologemes.
