This article comprehends the view of Eusebius of Caesarea on the prophet Moses in the aspect of his appearance and spiritual qualities, which is contained in the work “Preparation for the Gospel”. For the analysis, the original text of the work under consideration is used, taken from authoritative French collections: “Christian sources” (Sources Chrétiennes) and from 21 volumes of the Greek patrology of abbot Jacques Paul Migne. The purpose of this article is to analyze the exegetical work of Bishop Eusebius within the framework of the chosen topic, which will help to acquaint the reader with the writing activity of the father of church history, aimed at interpreting Holy Scripture. For in research works it is often difficult to find an understanding of his isagoge-exegetical heritage. Especially when compared with the layer of literature containing an analysis of his historical works (“Church History” and “Chronicle”). As a result, one can see that the author of the «Preparation for the Gospel» points, on the one hand, to the courage, prayerfulness and wisdom of the prophet Moses, and on the other hand, to the strong physique of the saint of God, despite his gray hair, which appeared due to old age. With these qualities, Moses the God-seer is an example of a respected sage who has excellent external and internal characteristics, that is, kalokagathia (καλοκἀγαθία).
