Image-schema «center - periphery» in the aspect of regular polysemy

The article considers semantics of image-schema «center - periphery» as an aspect of the concept «circle» in the Russian language picture of the world. A phenomenon of regular forming of figurative meanings is revealed among words, with different categorical semantics, joined to associative-semantic field «circle» and explained by unity of cognitive structure.
