The image of a volunteer in the representations of students of the North- Eastern Federal University (the case of voluntary activity of A. Vasilyev)

The paper is devoted to the problem of the development of the volunteer movement in Russia, namely the popularization of volunteering in the informal sector, which is characterized by an independent organization by volunteers of their activities, outside of any organization. According to the results of a theoretical analysis of the problem, it was revealed that society does not quite imagine who the volunteers are and what the essence of volunteering is. In this regard, the need is postulated not only for promoting membership in volunteer organizations, but also for instilling in the population the moral values inherent in volunteers. Studying the problem on the example of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the authors conducted a research investigation, the purpose of which was to identify the relationship of students of the North-Eastern Federal University to the activities of Anton Vasilyev, the well-known informal volunteer in republic. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, it was found that the image of the Yakut volunteer is perceived positively by students, its activities are well known to respondents due to social networks. The prospects for studying the problem of promoting volunteering at the local level are determined. The results obtained can find application in the work of entities implementing regional youth policy.
