Models of mathematics popularization as conventional structures

The paper presents the analysis of the procedure of science popularization, its forms and specifics. It reconstructs some examples of mathematics popularization in the XXth century as conventional structures, which foster the adequate image of science in society. It reveals what kind of conventional elements and mechanisms causes the creation of the general social image of the science. It also shows the purposes and importance of mathematics popularization.
