System of images of modern mythological stories of Russians and Mordovians (based on folklore material collected in the Republic of Mordovia)

It analyses of modern texts of stories about the supernatural (bylichki) in terms of their imagery system. The main result of the article is the following: the transformation of mythological images in these stories on the territory of Mordovia is related to the mutual influence and interaction of mythological concepts of Mordovian and Russian people to the development of scientific and research knowledge, as well as to the changes in life and traditional systems of values of the carriers of this folk culture.
