Education and enlightenment in the Yaroslavl province as a direction of Yaroslavl city council's activities

The article describes the development and expansion of education and enlightenment in the Yaroslavl Province in the second half of the 19f h - the early 20 th centuries. The author observes the changes, which took place in primary, secondary and vocational education. There was an expansion of the range of disciplines and knowledge. The system of education was involving wider and wider groups of population. The education became more affordable.
