The formation of new lexical units in the Russian youth speech

In recent decades, we can see the interest of linguistic scientists in the study of Russian youth speech. Researchers involved in the systematization of the language and its word-formation characteristics, identify new units join the ranks of modern youth synonyms speech. On the basis of the work, the article draws the following conclusions: the main source of youth speech is the codified literary language, spoken language, territorial dialects, because these are the main forms of language existence. In addition, youth speech is supplemented by argo, jargons of various social groups, unformal youth associations, representatives of different professional communities, schoolchildren, students. Foreign languages are one of the main modern sources of replenishment of youth speech.
