Professional education of psychologists and social pedagogues at law enforcement agencies is carried out according to new Federal Standards of Higher Education. Sharing views on urgent problems of professional education of psychologists and social pedagogues at other departmental higher educational institutions organized among practical psychologists of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs provides a unique opportunity for creative development, joint analysis of professional problems and finding solutions for the development of psychological work in the moral and psychological maintenance of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Psychological work must fit new realities, meet new purposes and tasks of moral and psychological maintenance of officers’ service. Nowadays no successful solution of basic tasks of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is available without active implementation of achievements in psychology into crime detection and investigation, increased psychological culture of managerial personnel, effective selection, training and education of a new generation of police officers.
