The Education of an Ancient Man. To the Justification of Paleo­ pedagogy

Based on the analysis of data on ancient species of people, their specifi c forms of education and pedagogical functions are determined. The author raised the question of creating a new science – paleopedagogy. The relevance of this scientifi c discipline is to elucidate the root causes of education among ancient people and its pedagogical foundations. The basic concepts of paleopedagology, its object and subject, functions, problems are presented. Pedagogical forms and methods used by ancient people are revealed.
