Culture and arts education as a factor of cultural policy: regional aspect (by a case study of the Republic of Dagestan)

The research deals with the role of educational institutions in the field of culture and arts when implementing the state and regional cultural policy. The paper considers the problematic area of the modern arts and culture education in the Republic of Dagestan and identifies the main reasons that have led to the crisis in this field of education. In particular, the loss of culture and arts university entrants in the early 2000s has been mainly caused by the social and economic situation. The study reveals the priorities in cultural policy related to enhancing the prestige of culture and arts education. The emphasis is made on the increased interaction between public-private partnership supporting cultural projects and educational institutions. The research notes that the state and non-state educational institutions keep the current status of modern educational space in the region.
