The author focuses on how the content of teaching materials, pedagogical methods, and state ideology interact to convey a historical narrative that underpins a shared national consciousness. The study analyzes approaches to constructing images of the past, the inclusion and exclusion of specific groups and events in curricula, as well as the influence of globalization and migration on the revision of historical canons. Adopting a comparative-historical and interdisciplinary approach, and drawing on sociological, anthropological, historical, and cultural research, this article offers deeper insights into the dynamics of identity formation through the lens of historical education.
