“Educational bubble” in Russia: myth or reality?

The article critically examines the idea of the socalled “educational bubble” in modern Russia, which is supported in some scientific publications and in the field of administrative structures. By the “educational bubble” we mean the excessive number of persons with higher education employed in our economy and social sphere. The author cites economic and social arguments in favor of the need to continue building up Russia’s intellectual potential through the qualitative and quantitative development of the system of higher education, rather than narrowing the scope of training for students.
