This paper examines the social problems highlighted by the poet Vladimir Andreev in his poems. The authors turn to the examples from the history of Russia (the period of the collapse of the USSR, the Young Democrats of Russia in the 90s of the 20th century) and analyze how V. Andreev’s works describe the images of modern shadow inhumane power in its various manifestations and reveal its essence, which lies in the destruction and deharmonization of society. According to the authors, revolutionary processes, wars, pandemics, and genderization are the result of the activities of "ifiers" (V. Andreev’s term). They indicate that only an educated person is able to reveal its essence, and the question of its ability to rule the world together with the poet is answered in the negative.
