Holy sons of the Baptist of Rus’ St. Prince Vladimir during the twentieth century. began to be perceived as a manifestation of the Russian national idea, the idea of non-resistance to evil by force. These features were identified and characterized by G. P. Fedotov. However, the national idea and the problem of resisting evil by force were interpreted in their own way by I. A. Ilyin. The article reveals the content of the concepts of two prominent representatives of Russian philosophical thought of the twentieth century. through the images of the holy passion- bearers Boris and Gleb.
