Tales of Oscar Wilde will never lose their popularity. In addition to just a literary tale in which the writer draws a bright, sparkling with all the colors of the world, not like the everyday reality of bourgeois society, his tales are also endowed with earthly features. In them, he exposes the greed and selfishness of bourgeois morals, opposing them with sincere feelings and affections of ordinary people who are not polluted by cold calculation and constitute the true beauty of human relations. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that Oscar Wilde’s idiostyle is of interest to specialists; nevertheless, there are still many controversial problems regarding Oscar Wilde’s author’s style.
