General characteristics of the stage of execution of a sentence in criminal proceedings

The article is devoted to the identification of the theoretical and legal foundations of the stage of execution of a sentence in criminal proceedings. The article draws attention to the controversial issues of determining the legal nature of the stage of execution of a sentence in the science of criminal procedural law. Based on the results of the review of the identified problems, the author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to amend the current legislation.
