Бесплатный доступ

The article presents the general characteristics of the dwellings of Bohai state (698-926) based on the analysis of materials from Bohai settlements on the territory of China, where more than fifty dwellings have been excavated by now on ten archeological sites. In general, Bohai dwellings can be divided into two groups: semi-pit dwellings and ground dwellings. In turn, semi-pit dwellings fall into three types: with hearths, with kangs and with a combined heating system. The structures of ground dwellings are similar, they always had kangs, the shape of which could vary significantly. In addition, the author discusses the origin of the Bohai dwellings and outlines the prospects for their further research.
