General in international legal regulation of struggle against piracy and maritime terrorism

The article is devoted to the study of general aspects of the international legal operation of the fight against piracy and maritime terrorism. The article proposes the main positions on which the similarity of the investigated international legal categories is observed. In the author’s opinion, there is a commonality of legal regulation of the fight against maritime terrorism and piracy. In the end, it is concluded that this situation indicates a lack of a clear delineation of piracy and maritime terrorism in international law.
