Public initiatives in preserving cultural heritage in Germany

Today, a large role in the protection of historical and cultural sites is given to the largest non governmental organizations. In the article, the author provides a comprehensive analysis of the activities of the National Fund for the Protection of Monuments in Germany, presents an analysis of fruitful cooperation with volunteers and sponsors, and the implementation of charitable and fundraising events. Special attention is paid to working with young people and teaching staff of educational institutions to support local thematic projects as part of solving the problems of preserving historical and cultural heritage. Taking into account the experience of a non profit organization is currently relevant in the process of solving both modern and future problems in the field of preserving historical and cultural heritage. This experience is in demand by the All Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments and the All Russian Public Movement “Volunteers of Culture,” as well as by specialized charitable and public organizations in the context of the implementation of monument conservation projects and public initiatives as part of the development and popularization of the field of heritage conservation.
