Public works: temporary employment for unemployed to the benefit of society

This article features special aspects of overcoming the negative tendencies in the labor market through public works establishment. The analysis is based on current legislation of Ukraine in the sphere of the employment as well as on generalization of experience of conducting the public works by Chernivtsi regional employment service. The economic feasibility of public works is shown for both the employers and the unemployed. The practical approaches are described and examples are provided for the implementation of priority tasks for public works by Chernivtsi regional employment service.
