Public request for change and constitutional reform in Russia

The article analyzes the results of the research conducted by the employees of the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences related to the formation of a request from a significant part of Russians for the democratization of social and political life in the country. The author substantiates the need for a constitutional reform as a defining direction of the new democratization of Russian society.
