Teaching discrete mathematics based on the global CDIO ideology

The paper discusses the solution to the problem of upgrading engineering education through the modernization of educational programs in accordance with the global CDIO ideology. It also considers the main principles and aspects of the learning process of training Bachelors of Discrete Mathematics in Siberian Federal University. Besides, the paper defines pedagogical technologies and design mechanisms of teaching mathematics trying to meet CDIO standards, which stimulate students in learning activities and are focused on achieving professional and personal competences and learning outcomes.
