Teaching professionally-oriented translation to students of a non-linguistic university

The issues of teaching professionally oriented translation to students of a non-linguistic university, as well as various types of translation, are considered. A survey was conducted on the basis of the Department of Foreign Languages with the course of the Russian Ryazan State Medical University named after I.P. Pavlov, which made it possible to identify which types of translation cause the greatest difficulties for students in teaching professionally oriented translation in foreign language classes. It is concluded that the main difficulty for students of a non-linguistic university is oral consecutive translation from a foreign language into Russian. Recommendations are presented for overcoming the difficulties that arise in the process of teaching professionally oriented translation.
