An analysis of the content of school mathematics education made it possible to identify a number of shortcomings in the education of schoolchildren: 1. This is explained by the fact that the role of solving problems by elementary methods is significantly narrowed, which corresponds to the goals of teaching, such as the development of students 'thinking, and are manifested in the form of an impact on students' thinking, primarily on the logical. 2. Knowledge of students on this topic is often formal, there is a lack of structurality. So, when solving most problems, where the evaluation method needs to be applied, the teacher resorts to an explanation with the help of a derivative. 3. Students have no idea about elementary methods of solving problems for extremes. The above shortcomings and identified the problem of research.
