Overview of the main focus areas in colorativistics: analysis and trends

Statement of the problem. Colorativistics refers to an interdisciplinary field of knowledge. Due to the complexity and heterogeneity of the subject of research, color designations are various factors that draw interest, some of which are relevant criteria, others are just beginning to appear. The article provides a review of the coverage of colorists, which are currently of active interest. The purpose of this paper is to determine the main focus areas of colorativistics and to determine the development of colorativistics as a branch of scientific knowledge. Methodology (materials and methods). The material of the study includes scientific articles, abstracts, collections of scientific papers, monographs on the problem under study. The main research methods are the analysis of scientific literature on the research topic; descriptive and comparative methods. Conclusions. An increase in the number of color designations and areas of their use leads to an increase in focus areas and approaches to their study and creates prerequisites for their comprehensive study. In addition to the observed tendencies, which are of a private nature, we can talk about the main manifestations and trends in the development of the color naming system as a whole.
