Review of promising solutions for realization of cruise control systems for agricultural combines and tractors

This article considers promising solutions for the realization of cruise control systems and proposes its own concept of cruise control system realization based on hydrostatic transmission (HST) for Rostselmash combines. The study covers key technical characteristics of combines, features of the HST system, as well as analogs, such as cruise control used in John Deere machinery and KAMAZ vehicles. It analyzes existing systems, compares them, and identifies advantages and disadvantages of each approach in field conditions. The importance of the development for increasing the efficiency and reliability of combines is emphasized, and the prospects of its further improvement are outlined. The realization concept of the cruise control system in the form of a structural diagram is given.
