Review of the state of the Russian chemical industry

The relevance of the topic is due to the importance of the development of the Russian chemical industry to increase the volume and the level of competitiveness of the entire industrial sector of Russia in the world market. The purpose of the article is to assess the current state of the Russian chemical industry. In the process of work, the following methods of scientific research were applied: general scientific methods (comparison, analysis, synthesis, analogy) and special methods of economic and statistical research (collection of primary statistical information, summary and grouping of data, processing of statistical indicators). Based on 6 years of reports from the Federal State Statistics Service, the dynamics of the main indicators of Russian chemical production has been reviewed and analyzed. The main problems of the development of the chemical complex of Russia are determined.
