A review of foreign practices of small business support

In the article provides an overview the experience of foreign countries in implementing the mechanisms of supporting SME subjects in order to identify the most effective tools. The author notes that not only support measures for small businesses in Russia and abroad differ, but also the very criteria of belonging to the SMEs. The greatest value for small businesses is characteristic of such mechanisms as long-term loans with low interest, development of information support and tax benefits at the initial stages of business. According to the author, the experience of Germany, where the emphasis of small business support practices is on supporting the innovation sector of the economy, is of particular value.
