Review of the journal of the ministry of national education dated 1861

The article presents the review of the Journal of the Ministry of National Education dated 1861. The publications are reviewed on several basic issues: the discussion of the legal documents and issues on organizational activities of Russian schools, the development of educational institutions and studies abroad, the role and position of the teacher, learned disputes on many other methodological, psychological and pedagogical problems.
