The most urgent task of domestic veterinary sanitation is the search for new biocidal substances with a synergistic effect, with a wide range of antimicrobial activity (bactericidal, mycobactericidal, virucidal, sporicidal), high washing ability. Studies were carried out to assess the disinfectant effect of the new drug working title (DezAP-1) in relation to cultures of microorganisms isolated from the premises for the maintenance of cattle. The new disinfectant composition contains a group of aldehydes and quaternary ammonium compounds as active ingredients, as well as detergent components (nonionic surfactants). In the experiment, aqueous working solutions of the new drug were used in 0.25 %, 0.5 %, 1 % concentrations at 30-minute exposure. The results of bacteriological examination of samples taken from various areas and surfaces of the premises for keeping calves at the age of 6-12 months show that the highest level of contamination by microorganisms: was noted in samples taken from different parts of the floor, walls at a level of 30 cm from the floor and fences is represented by microorganisms of the Enterobacteriaceae family: E. coli, P. vulgaris, P. mirabilis, C. freundii, Enterococcus genus: E. faecalis, E. faecium and Staphylococcus genus: S. intermedius, S. carnosus, S. simulans. A low level of microbial contamination was found in samples taken from the windows and the front door. When evaluating the disinfectant effect of the new drug, it was found that the new disinfectant drug has an effective bactericidal effect against cultures of microorganisms isolated from the premises according to the content of cattle in 1% concentration and 30-minute exposure.
