By the DNA-fingerprinting method with using of (GTG)5 sonde the genetic variability was investigated in the breeds (striped Plymouth Rock, Andalucian blue, black Australorp) and hen experimental populations (black-and-white Australorp and Aurora). The high informativity of DNA-fingerprintings was marked. The DNA fragment of 4350 bp length specific for the experimental population black-and-white Australorp was detected. The high values of genetic distances between unrelated populations (black Australorp and striped Plymouth Rock, Andalucian blue and Aurora) were shown. The authors have confirmed the fact of rapid divergence of similar populations at the directed selection on certain determinants.
