Assessment of student readiness for culturological interpretation while teaching humanities at secondary school

In the article the formation process model of preparedness for culturological interpretation at school while teaching humanities is proved in real terms. Culturological interpretation is considered to be one of the important technological elements of teaching practice of humanity subjects at school. The author emphasizes the number of sings of culturological interpretation and pedagogical conditions of its practical application. Pedagogical experiment is described, whose target is to identify the reading level of 10-11th-graders of Russian school for the culturological interpretation. The author notices that precisely at this age it’s extremely important to start forming culturological interpretation skills of humanitarian subjects. Questioning was carried out in accordance with the basic characteristics of the culturological interpretation such as esthetic, moral, philosophical, valuable, personal, and dialogical ones and others. According to these characteristics some fundamental criteria to estimate culturological and interpretational students’ knowledge and skill level have been revealed. In the article the results of the experiment confirm the importance of the culturological interpretation forming model in the practice of teaching humanitarian subjects at Secondary School. The experiment has revealed that most students understand importance of humanitarian subjects for their personal development, acquisition of knowledge and skills.
