Evaluation and suggestions for changing the statistics of breast-feeding prevalence in the Russian Federation

The current official statistical indices of activities of maternity and children's hospitals do not meet international criteria reflecting duration and prevalence of breast-feeding and exclusive breast-feeding of newborns, babies, and small-age children. The authors suggested bridging this gap by conforming national statistical indices with the international requirements.
