Evaluation of the effectiveness of antimicrobial agents in the treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis: a comparative analysis of traditional and improved methods

This article discusses the improvement of treatment and preventive measures in chronic generalized periodontitis. An analysis was carried out on 60 patients with diagnoses of generalized periodontitis. The preparation for treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis (Patent KR № 2343) containing the following components: nitrofural 0,02% - 20 g, oil extract of sea buckthorn 10% - 20,0 g, lidase solution 32 U - 2,5 g, glycerin (auxiliary substance) - 2,0 g, the rest - distilled water. The result of the study showed that the use of antimicrobial agent and a new method of treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis provided a significant reduction in the involvement of periodontal structures in the pathological process, which is superior to the results achieved using traditional methods. Application of our method allowed to reduce the frequency of recurrences by 4.8%.
