Assessment of the effectiveness of state support for the agricultural-industrial complex of Belgorod region

The article presents an analysis of the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Belgorod region, an assessment of the effectiveness of state support for the agro-industrial complex of the Belgorod region. It was revealed that there was a reduction in regional support for the agro-industrial complex, state support changed a number of priorities for financing individual subprograms, while the emphasis was shifted to social areas, there is a lack of funding for areas aimed at developing genetic, selection and breeding materials, which can slow down import substitution and productivity growth in the agro-industrial sector. Therefore, at the present stage, it is necessary to limit subsidies to two cases - stimulating specific results (for example, introducing technologies, increasing productivity) and assistance in case of force majeure (drought, epidemics, etc.), which will prevent dependency and direct finances to development.
