Assessment of the humous soil by the biotesting method

Biomonitoring analysis of technogenic soils in the city of Tver was carried out. Biotesting of soils and waters near the Thermal Power Plant 1 and Mechanical Plant (rivers T’maka and Tvertsa) showed their contamination. These waters and soils were used to grow test-plants. By adding the humous soil to the system soil-plant we lowered the effects of the contamination. The sprouting and roots development of test-plants increased.
